Reading our comparisons sensibly
A quick guide to what our scores mean, what they don't, and how to weigh the parts that matter most to you.
Start with what matters to you
No single casino is best for everyone. A player who only wants live blackjack values different things from someone chasing a broad slots library or simple, low-fuss bonus terms. Our comparison gives you the same set of facts for each brand so you can weigh them against your own priorities.
What the editorial score means
The score out of ten is our overall view after working through the site. It is a comparison tool, not an official rating, and it's not a promise of any outcome. Two brands with similar scores may suit very different players, so it's worth reading the short review and badges rather than the number alone. The full method is set out in our Editorial Review Policy.
Read the terms, not just the headline
A promotion that looks generous can come with wagering requirements, game weighting or time limits that change the picture. We try to flag how clearly each operator presents this, but the operator's own terms are always the ones that apply. Read them before you opt in.
Why brands appear and rotate
We compare a small, selected set of UK-facing brands rather than trying to list everything. The line-up can change as we refresh reviews, and listing order does not imply a ranking. If a brand carries a neutral label such as “Highlighted operator”, that's an editorial pointer, not a claim that it's officially the best.
A few sensible habits
- Decide a budget before you play and stick to it.
- Use deposit limits and reminders where the operator offers them.
- Check whether withdrawal times and methods suit you, not just the welcome offer.
- Remember that gambling involves risk and isn't a way to make money.
